In view of the characteristics of long construction and operation cycles,multiple participating units,detailed professional division of labor,and difficult management of water conservancy and hydropower projects,a thorough analysis of the business characteristics and needs during construction and operation periods of projectsis carried out. Combined with the relevant technical requirements of the Ministry of Water Resources on intelligentwater conservancy and digital twin projects,a detailed study is conducted,including the construction content,keytechnology composition,and implementation path. Therefore,a digital-twin-centered information construction systemfor water conservancy and hydropower engineering is proposed. An overall framework is established,includingconstruction management,intelligent construction,and intelligent construction sites during building period,as wellas the engineering safety,profi t scheduling,and operation management during the operation period. A digital twinplatform that includes digital baseboards,model platforms,and knowledge platforms,as well as a construction planfor major business applications,are also formed.
