In view of the characteristics of InSAR deformation monitoring in low lost and large-scale survey,Sentinel-1A image data is used to monitor the temporal InSAR deformation of a reservoir in Luoyang City at the initial stageof fi lling. After deformation monitoring, the study area is divided into 4 hidden landslide areas and 4 urban suspectedsubsidence areas. The remote sensing survey and key monitoring method is adopted to conduct dam deformationanalysis, survey of areas with high incidence of geological disasters, and urban surface deformation monitoring inthe reservoir area. Finally, the overall assessment of reservoir project impact on urban geological disturbance isformed. The results show that there is a signifi cant deformation in the central part of dam during 2020 to 2021,and themaximum cumulative deformation in 2 years is 54.1 mm. The deformation values on both sides of dam are distributedsymmetrically, which is consistent with the stress characteristics of water-facing pressure. The disturbance causedby water conservancy project construction to surrounding towns is almost negligible, and the overall state within thesurvey area is stable. Based on time series InSAR technology,non-contact monitoring of surface deformation providesa new technical solution for reservoir inspection and early warning mechanism.
