In view of the diffi culties in urban fl ood prevention and control, such as insuffi cient sensing accuracy beforefl ood,low response effi ciency during fl ood,and insuffi cient analysis after fl ood,the intelligence water managementsystem for Binjiang district is proposed based on digital twin technology, which includes four modules of digitaltwin data mapping, mathematical model simulation, virtual and real interaction prevention and intelligent servicelinkage. Combined with monitoring data, the twin data mapping of physical features including topography, surfacewater, rainwater pipe network, drainage facilities, monitoring equipment, and inundation hot spots is developed.Subsequently, the virtual model of Binjiang district is built. The mutual mapping and interaction between physical andvirtual entity during the entire fl ood occurrence are implemented. A rehearsal of the fl ood process in Binjiang districtis simulated, which realizes the functions of automatic monitoring and warning, and drafting the emergency responseplan for fl ood disaster. Since the system is published online,fl ood response time in Binjiang district has been reducedby 50%,the drainage effi ciency has also been signifi cantly improved, and the number of serious inundation hot spotshas been reduced by more than 60%. Collaborative trans-departmental governance can be promoted, and urban fl oodprevention and control capabilities can be improved.
