Abstract:At present, the problems of water resources shortage and over-exploitation in Beijing are serious. In order to solve these problems, an automatic water conveyance system for a main canal of Beijing South-to-North Water Division Project is developed and constructed. According to different business requirements, the automatic water conveyance system can be divided into five subsystems: monitoring, video security, water quality monitoring, safety monitoring, communication and computer network; By adopting the monitoring system for parameters(such as pressure and water volume) collection, transmission and storage, collecting and storing images with the help of video security system, using communication and computer network system to ensure the accessibility and safety of information transmission, ensuring the safety of water supply through water quality and safety monitoring system, finally, the linkage water conveyance system is established, which integrates dynamic monitoring, monitoring and early warning, remote control and real-time control. The construction of automatic water conveyance system can realize a more reasonable allocation of water resources in Beijing, accelerate the gradual replacement of groundwater, and further alleviate the problems of water resources shortage and over-exploitation.
